well, it's officially december...
I am listening to Animorphs: The Radio Drama, Uncensored. It's kind of awesome. Why have I not been exposed to this before?

Anyway.

It is officially December, as my subject line says, which means [info]mini_nanowrimo is over. Official NaNoWriMo is also over, but I did miniNaNo this year. Annnd...

I did it! Met my word goal every day for thirty days! Admittedly my word goal was a measly 100 words, but whatever. With a word goal for the month of 3,000, I wound up writing 11,632 words, which is kind of really cool. For me, anyway.

Stuff I took away from this month:
- I tend to write really short stuff and not understand how to make it longer. Um.

- I was on a really weird fantasy kick for a lot of the month, with ghosts, vampires, banshees, immortals, gods, possessions, wishes-gone-wrong, and the end of the world. Plus a bunch of really short pieces that I'm still not sure what was happening in them.

- I did, however, manage to write some nonfantasy stuff. Not even particularly surreal. Which I usually consider to be weird for me.

- I wrote a lot about Liam and Michael, who are two characters who hang out in my head a lot. I don't really like most of what I write about them, though, and if I ever write about them in detail again I will probably throw out everything I wrote about them this month.

- The stuff I write when I've been doing something where I can't write all day I tend to like a lot better than the stuff I write when I've been sitting in front of my computer procrastinating all day.

- I can, in fact, write original fiction. Now I miss writing fanfiction predominately. *is a dork*

- I hate about 90% of everything I write ever.

- "bibliogeist" is still a really cool word and eventually I will find a story that is good enough for it.

...anyway.

I finally got around to calling my alma mater about my degree. (SEND ME MY DEGREE.) I got redirected to someone's voice mail and left a message, so hopefully they'll call me back soon.

Also I now have shoes that don't have gaping holes in them which is kind of really cool. Yes, I'm pathetic, but you try spending a month working outdoors in rainy weather with shoes with gaping holes in them because you can't afford/don't have time to go get new ones. *pouts*

There was an animorphs radio drama? Why did I never know this? I loved the book series AND the show!

Have at, 'cause it's kind of awesome.

I only just found out about it myself! They've done up through book #11, plus the Andalite Chronicles and MM#1, but I'm starting at book one and trying to work my way through.

'Cause they're really awesome.

XD

Aww, congrats, Chica! *applauds* I can't write under pressure either, so if I were to ever do Nano, it'd be the mini version. :)

It's so much less scary than the full-size version! XD

It is COMPLETE WIN. I've listened to all of book one so far and Tom will now forever sound like a stoned surfer boy in my head.

*hugs back* Yes, yes it is...I've missed it. XD

Oh, that's fantastic, hon! *applause* Congratulations! I couldn't make a daily word goal if I had to, so I actually had a better chance of making a humongo word count goal over more days, lol!

I'm so glad you've got gaping-hole-free shoes because rainy weather + outside + gaping hole shoes = big time! :( And here's hoping you get your degree soon! (I have a reoccurring dream where my high school contacts me and says there was a problem with my diploma and I was actually a few credits short and so am going to have to go back and redo part of my senior year... O_O Although the last time I had it, I told them in the dream, "Listen, lady, I'm probably older than you are and I'm NOT going back to high school with a bunch of teenagers!" Lol! ;) Hopefully that means my subconscious is going to stop replaying this particular dream now, lol! ;) And what does that have to do with anything? Nothing at all. It was just a colorful anecdote... :P *gigglesnorts* ;) )

*big hugs!* ♥!

NaNoWriMo scares me both for the humongo word count goal and for the idea of writing on only one project for a month. My brain doesn't work that way! That's why I admire all of you who try (and succeed!) at it! *hugs*

I seriously had this fear that I would call them about my degree and they would be like "WTF no you don't have enough credits to have graduated". This fear was probably not helped by my dad making helpful comments to the same effect. But they didn't they didn't say anything like that, so I feel better now! But your dream sounds both scary and awesome. XD I never have awesome comebacks like that in my dreams... ;P

*tacklehugs back* ♥♥♥!
