I am listening to Animorphs: The Radio Drama, Uncensored. It's kind of awesome. Why have I not been exposed to this before?
Anyway.
It is officially December, as my subject line says, which means
mini_nanowrimo is over. Official NaNoWriMo is also over, but I did miniNaNo this year. Annnd...

I did it! Met my word goal every day for thirty days! Admittedly my word goal was a measly 100 words, but whatever. With a word goal for the month of 3,000, I wound up writing 11,632 words, which is kind of really cool. For me, anyway.
Stuff I took away from this month:
- I tend to write really short stuff and not understand how to make it longer. Um.
- I was on a really weird fantasy kick for a lot of the month, with ghosts, vampires, banshees, immortals, gods, possessions, wishes-gone-wrong, and the end of the world. Plus a bunch of really short pieces that I'm still not sure what was happening in them.
- I did, however, manage to write some nonfantasy stuff. Not even particularly surreal. Which I usually consider to be weird for me.
- I wrote a lot about Liam and Michael, who are two characters who hang out in my head a lot. I don't really like most of what I write about them, though, and if I ever write about them in detail again I will probably throw out everything I wrote about them this month.
- The stuff I write when I've been doing something where I can't write all day I tend to like a lot better than the stuff I write when I've been sitting in front of my computer procrastinating all day.
- I can, in fact, write original fiction. Now I miss writing fanfiction predominately. *is a dork*
- I hate about 90% of everything I write ever.
- "bibliogeist" is still a really cool word and eventually I will find a story that is good enough for it.
...anyway.
I finally got around to calling my alma mater about my degree. (SEND ME MY DEGREE.) I got redirected to someone's voice mail and left a message, so hopefully they'll call me back soon.
Also I now have shoes that don't have gaping holes in them which is kind of really cool. Yes, I'm pathetic, but you try spending a month working outdoors in rainy weather with shoes with gaping holes in them because you can't afford/don't have time to go get new ones. *pouts*
