In news unrelated to anything, I really, really want a LOST Babies spinoff. It could be Muppet Babies-style, by which I mean it could be Total Crack and ignore all preexisting canon and break continuity regularly.

I would accept a cartoon version, as that would be in keeping with Babies spinoff tradition, or a live-action version, because the various baby!Losties who have been on the show are all adorable.

(Not necessarily literal babies, just much-younger-versions of the existing characters. I could see an elementary or middle school version working, given the baby!Losties we've seen in canon. But toddler versions, Muppet Babies-style, would be my real preference.)

Claire could have a baby doll she calls Aaron! Michael could have a Walt rag doll that's always getting misplaced! Charlie could play on a toy guitar! Frank could have toy helicopters and airplanes and annoy everybody by running all over the playroom with them pretending to fly! Jack could have a little toy stethoscope and fight with Sawyer over who gets to rescue Kate from the kitchen where she got caught stealing the last cookie! Vincent could be the playroom puppy! Rose and Bernard could be the Nanny-type figures! Ben could...be creepy!

It could be awesome, man.

The first secret in today's [info]fandomsecrets batch is about Hamlet. *loves* And this seems as good a time as any to advance one of my crack theories, which is this: If Horatio and Mercutio switched plays, Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet would both have ended much earlier and without all the bloodshed. Mercutio would have smacked Hamlet around until he went ahead and killed Claudius without all the dillydallying about trying to get proof, and Horatio would have very calmly put together a plan for Romeo and Juliet to run off together that didn't involve dying or faking deaths or massive miscommunications.

My brain works in odd ways.

...you know what I would like to see? A Doctor Who/xkcd crossover. With Black Hat Guy and Black Hair Girl as the Doctor's companions. He would be TOTALLY APPALLED by them and their methods, but they would accidentally save the universe through the liberal use of explosives and hacking! And velociraptors. And crossbows and lightsabers. And they would reverse-engineer the TARDIS and then start growing their own. Without the Doctor's permission. And they would critique the scientific holes in the Doctor's technobabble! And epic hat wars! AND IT COULD BE AWESOME.

This complete randomness at least partially inspired by the fact that there now exists in the world Black Hat Guy/Black Hat Girl fic! And it is good.

Company was incredibly awesome. And Raul continues to own my soul. And I cried. And I'm going to rewatch it tomorrow. ♥

But in the meantime:

spoilers for Torchwood 2x07 Dead Man Walking )

In conclusion: MARTHA! And I am now convinced of Jack/Owen's Epic Love. And child actors are always creepy. And MARTHA!

Happy Beka Day, Singles' Awareness Day, Valentine's Day, Ingest Your Weight In Chocolate Day, February 14th, or whatever else you celebrate. Or don't, as the case may be.

Now on to the good stuff: last night's Torchwood episodes! And tons of capslock abuse!

MISS MARTHA JONES!

I finally managed to watch both episodes, and now my Martha glee threatens to make me forget everything I wanted to say about them, but I'll try, k?

spoilers for Torchwood 2x05 Adam )

spoilers for Torchwood 2x06 Reset )

non-spoilery general comments on both episodes )

I feel there are things I probably forgot to say, so feel free to remind me in the comments if you like. But MARTHA! ♥ SQUEE WITH ME! ♥ MARTHA JONES!

...also I now have two Martha tags because apparently I can never have too many. Despite the fact that I don't think I tag for any other individual character. *blink* ...I should start tagging for Babs, just to be fair, because Babs is also MORE AWESOME THAN YOU. *tags*

Frell it!

Jean-Paul and I moved most of my junk out of the dorm today; he took it down to his mom's for summer storage. Things I forgot to include in this moving out: my TV and my crate full of lighting magazines.

Yes, I have a crate full of lighting magazines. That's not the point.

ETA: Also a bag and my bathroom caddy. *headdesk*. I suck.

Anyway, I have to find a place to store them for the summer 'cause I have no way of bringing them home with me and my aunt sure ain't coming back to get them.

I'm gonna see if Rich is open to being bribed, and if I can steal a corner of the costume closet for the summer maybe?

Arrgh. Anyway.

Junior Sem final is overrrrrr. Who cares how it went? Nobody, that's who. Two finals left to go: Shakespeare, tomorrow at 9AM, and then World Theatre, tomorrow at 1PM. Also tomorrow: finish packing my carry-ons, beg Rich to let me store junk in the costume shop, catch the school shuttle at 5PM, catch the Logan Express at 6PM, be at the airport by 7PM, catch my flight at 8PM...hopefully. With my luck it will be delayed 'til, like, midnight. DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN, IRONY GODS, PLZ? Also eat sometime in there.

And, um, to make up for the overwhelming growliness in this post, let's close on a couple more upbeat notes:

- TEH NIKI. Soon. Yes. ♥ Just talked to her and we may not be able to hook up this weekend :( but sometime this week YES.

- Also, fannish crackish crossover: light spoilerz for Lost 3x11 Enter 77 )

Er. And stuff.
